The United States Geological Survey has released Open File Report 2005-1145, "Modified Mercalli Intensity Maps for the 1906 Earthquake Plotted in ShakeMap Format". This map collection shows how the intensity of the earthquake varied geographically. In addition, animations comparing the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake with the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake are presented.
