The City of Davis, California has created a public information website where visitors can prepare custom maps showing the locations of different types of crime in the city. Visitors can map arson, assault, auto theft, commercial burglary, DUI, drug busts, public intoxication, grand theft, hate crimes, petty theft, residential burglary, robbery vandalizm, vehicle burglary and weapons offenses for various time intervals in different parts of the city. Captured below is a screenshot showing reported auto theft mapped over a one year period.
