National Geographic now has software that will allow you to export USGS topographic maps data for use in software such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS, ArcView, Microstation, and Integraph. You can export georeferenced maps in .geotiff .tiff and .jpg formats with world headers in either .tfw or .tab format. Raster maps are exported referenced to latitude/longitude in the NAD83/WGS84 map datum.
